Uttranchal Tourism Places

Nainital

A small town in the hills of Uttranchal, Nainital is a lovely hill station surrounded by mountains on three sides. This area had many lakes and it was called the City of lakes.

Hanuman Garhi, Naina Devi Temple, Naini Lake, Zoo Gardens, Bhimtal, Naukuchia Lake are the prime attractions of Nainital.

National Corbett Park (Ramnagar)

Jimm Corbett National Park is located in Ramnagar of Uttarakhand state of India. It is the first National Park of India. Jim Corbett is famous for his exploits in the jungles of Nainital and Kumaon. Corbett National Park was the venue from where Project Tiger was launched. The Park is situated in the Himalayan foothills, surrounded by forested mountains. Ramganga River flows through most of the Corbett National Park.

Jimm Corbett National Park is the best way to see wild life from close. The primary purpose of the Corbett National Park is to save the animals and plants of the Ramganga river valley, particulary the Tiger and Gharial Crocodile.

Mussouri

Mussoorie, Popularly known as the Queen of Hills. This charming hill station, around 30 kms away from Dehradun, situated in the Garhwal hills of Uttranchal.

Mussoorie, with its green hills and varied flora & fauna, is a fascinating hill station for tourists. It presents a fairyland atmosphere to the tourists. It is famous for its scenic beauty and hectic social life. It provides all kinds of amusement and every facility for domestic and foreign tourists. Gun Hill, Municipal Garden, Camel's Back Road, Jharipani Fall, Kempty Fall, Mussoorie Lake, and Jwalaji Temple are the famous places of Mussoorie.

Rishikesh

Rishikesh is a small town in the northern state of Uttranchal in India. Scenically located where the Ganga River comes down from the Himalayas. Several temples dot the banks of the Ganga at Rishikesh. It is also known as the town of world capital of yoga.

Rishikesh represents the Gateway to the Himalayas in the Tehri-Garhwal region of Uttrakhand State. It abounds in natural splendor. The spectacle of the Ganga rushing through the Himalayan foothills is an awesome sight. Several temples dot the banks of the Ganga at Rishikesh. The Char Dham Yatra (Four Shrines Sacred Journey) ideally begins from Rishikesh.
